Every Northstar screen is perfectly colour matched to the window or door it belongs to — frame, cassette and hardware. Open the window and you see the garden, not the screen.

Retractable screens

The mesh rolls away into a slim colour matched cassette when you don't need it, so there is nothing sitting permanently across the glass or the view. Spring-tensioned and easy to operate one-handed, retractable screens suit awning and casement windows, sliding and lift & slide doors and bifolds.

Fixed screens

A rigid framed screen fitted permanently to the outside of the opening. Because tilt & turn windows open inward, the screen sits neatly outside the sash and never interferes with operation — you tilt or turn the window with the screen in place.

Accordion pleated flyscreen across a sliding door opening

Accordion screens

A pleated mesh that concertinas across the opening on a slim top and bottom track, then folds back into a narrow stack. A practical answer for wide sliding and lift & slide openings where a single retractable run would be very long.

Security screens

A stainless steel mesh in a reinforced frame, with its own lock, fitted over an entry or sliding door. It gives you ventilation with the door open and a genuine physical barrier at the same time — insect protection is the by-product, not the point.

Screens are specified with the window or door, not bolted on afterwards — so the fixings, cassette and colour are all resolved before manufacture.

Fixed windows have no opening sash, so no screen is required. Screen options for any other configuration — including French doors, tilt & slide, corner sliders, bay and sliding windows — are confirmed at the measure and quote stage.

Colour matched

The screen should be the last thing you notice.

A screen in the wrong colour undoes a good window. Cassettes, frames, tracks and retainers are all finished to match the frame they sit against — black on black, white on white, woodgrain on woodgrain — so the screen reads as part of the window rather than an accessory added later.
