Ten years on frames, glass and our workmanship.
A premium window is a twenty-plus year decision, so the warranty behind it matters as much as the specification. Every Northstar project carries a 10 year warranty across all three parts of the job — the frame, the sealed glass unit and the installation itself.
Frames — 10 years
The uPVC profile, reinforcement, welds and foil finish. Covered against manufacturing defects, warping and delamination under normal residential use.
Glass — 10 years
The sealed double glazed unit, including seal failure and the internal fogging or misting between panes that follows it. Covered for ten years from installation.
Workmanship — 10 years
Our installation warranty covers the fixing, packing, sealing and weatherproofing of every opening we install, backed by our commitment to quality workmanship from start to finish.

One point of contact
Frames, glass and installation are all warranted through Northstar. You don't get sent between a manufacturer, a glazier and an installer to work out whose problem it is.

In writing, with your quotation
The full warranty terms — what's covered, the period, and the few things that aren't — are set out in writing with your quotation, before you commit to anything.

Hardware and adjustments
Locking hardware, hinges and rollers are covered under the manufacturer's terms. If an adjustment is needed after installation, contact our team and we will assess the appropriate support.
Australian Standards
Made to the standards that apply here.
uPVC systems designed in Europe still have to perform in Melbourne, under Australian rules. All Northstar windows, doors and glass are made to the relevant Australian Standards, and safety glazing is specified wherever those standards call for it — not treated as an upgrade.
Profile accreditation
Northstar uses uPVC profile systems accredited under the uPVC Windows Alliance Industry Code of Practice.
The accreditation relates to profile performance and suitability for Australian conditions.
- All windows, doors and glass are manufactured to the relevant Australian Standards.
- Safety glazing — toughened or laminated — is specified wherever the standards require it.
- Glazing selections and configurations are documented per opening with your quotation.
